With over twenty years experience of primary teaching, I can help your child with reading, writing and mathematics from KS1 to GCSE (both Foundation and Higher). When parents come to me for help, I always begin by spending time chatting to them about their child’s educational background. I usually request a copy of the latest school report so that I can see what stage they are at. Parents sometimes pass on my number to their child’s class teacher so that they can speak directly to me about any gaps in learning. I then use a range of materials to address any difficulties and insecurities. Keeping parents informed is an important part of my approach to effective tuition. I also offer tuition for children preparing to take entrance exams to grammar and independent schools. The same dates, fees, terms and conditions apply to English and maths tuition as to my piano tuition.
